What is it with these Bermudian women and Louis Vuitton Bags..I now call
them ' Bermuda Bags.'
Last week, I was at the supermarket and counted 30 Vuitton bags..and the
women were wearing cheap clothing and Payless shoes!!!

I thought that when you bought an expensive handbag you were supposed to
have the entire package..you know....the expensive clothing, shoes,
jewellery, etc.
Look in the fashion magazines and do yourselves a favour..get some new
clothes and shoes..

Bermudian women,like their cheesy American neighbours.. wear Vuitton with
everything..and I mean everything...

I think the funniest one is the lady who strolls to work with hair
curlers and her 'shades' ...and yesterday I saw a chambermaid in her
uniform with a $500 Vuitton bag and white sneakers...geeez! What a sight
for sore eyes!!
If I took every Louis Vuitton bag in Bermuda, I bet I would be able to
have another downpayment on a house!!
Give me your bags girls!!! Give me your bags!!

By the way I already own one..and it is mortgage free..but I WILL not be
buying a Vuitton...lol lol

P.S. I bet some of you are spending your rent and baby money on yet
another Vuitton purchase!!

Jealousy is such an ugly green eyed monster. I can read right through
this. Go out and buy a life (since you don't have a mortgage). Our
lifestyle existed before you got here, and will continue long after you
have left (By the way, can we look forward to that?)

Actually I am a Bermudian! Born and bred..no status.
Parents both Bermudian..both black..

I am hardly jealous and to tell you the truth, I used to work in one of
the only shops that carried Louis Vuitton many years ago as a summer
student.
I probably knew what Vuitton bags were before you were born!!! lol lol
In fact, I owned several Vuitton bags as a teenager, but got rid of them
when it became a fad!

I have always had spectacular clothing, shoes, am well travelled and well
read...

So what if I like to poke fun at other Bermudians..it's called free
speech..sometimes we have to hear it from our own to find out just how
ridiculous we look in the eyes of other people!!!

Sweetheart, I think if you look closely at the bags you will notice 90%
of them are FAKE. I have a few "Genuine" pieces myself, mind you I did
not spend the money on them, they were all a gift (I won't spend all that
money on it. You said you was at the supermarket and saw these women, if
you go into the Market Place stores, you'll see they sell a look alike,
it does not have the LV but somewhat of the same design, let me tell you
when they first hit the store, these women were there like chickens
getting fed, instead of buying groceries........By the way I am a
Bermudian woman but I just don't see the sense in unnecessary spending.
It's just like seeing a baby who can't walk wearing the top name brand
sneakers........I just don't understand that logic yet....

some guest workers.
That's what's wrong with us..we can't laugh at ourselves!!!

Luckily I realized a very long time ago that coveting material things

I bet you park your $50,000 car in someone else's yard or on the roadside

You know...now I see why bermudians are not united. There is to much
watch face. As I have travelled to different parts of the world thats the
one thing I have noticed. No one watches the material side of your life.
They adhere more to the mindset/how you carry yourself.

Did anyone every stop to think that someone could be buying a vuitton bag
just because they like it? So what if it is $500 and their shoes cost
$50. Just as one of you mentioned being entitle to your own opinion then
everyone is entitled to wear what they want to wear. Moreover, to every

double amount of fingers are being pointed at you.

Yeah...congradulations indeed cuz this is the same **** the slave masters
pulled on us back in the cotton picking days.
I can tell you one thing I love about bermudians no matter how they
choose to dress...WE HAVE EXCELLENT HOSPITALITY and our accent is
original. Yes we do lack in a few areas but instead of helping one
another wah quick to tongue lash and dis our own thats the sad part.

I DIS BERMUDA ON ALLOWING FOREIGNERS TO JUS COME AND RUN TINGS IN EVERY
ASPECT. Some if not majority of these foreigners have no manners and they
are very nasty. Noses stuck up in the air towards us like WE dont belong
here. And they are sittin comfortable in their offices and homes that
were built through our blood sweat and tears. How about granting me a
share(stocks) of your company after I have just built it?? Wives at home
WITH a nanny periodically going to the park or going wholesale places for
groceries while the rest of us are here slaving for the husbands.
Now thats CHEAP! Thats why i just cannot be bothered...I plan to make
tracks to the motherland cuz Bermuda is literally sinking in
spirituality/unity and sturture. I would encourage any young person out
there to get educated and set your sights beyond this little MELTING pot
of fools gold. Get your England passports even if you dont plan on going
still...GO AND GET IT! another CHEAP move i might add cuz them passports
shoulda been FREE!

To the sister who spoke of economic empowerment. You seem to have very
high intellect... use it to its advantage to build rather than bash down.
We need sisters like you to strengthen our young generation. (Something
our government has no time for)

One must be wise in approach so as to have more to gain then loose.

quite typical..too busy getting offended and taking things
personally..when it was just a general observation....

Think about it...if I own my own home in Bermuda..there is an 80% chance

Secondly, when material goods become unusable and cannot be repaired

my point is, in the grand scheme of things who cares...your point is as
important as you are ....not at all. i also own my own home and two cars.
my kids are in private school....and i am smart enough to live in the

the reality is, that some bermudians will never be able to afford homes
in bermuda. you can't equate that with not being financially responsible.
it has to do with the economic and educational structure of bermuda. some
bermudians work real hard and save their money and send their kids to
college and at the end of their life have nothing to show but bills.
thats life. not everyone can be successful and have a back debt ratio of
0. my point is, does it really matter that they have payless shoes and LV
bag. no one really knows what that person is doing with their money or
what their sacrifices have been. as a bermudian, you would think that
?payless? would be more empathetic to the struggles of her people.

important to them, like their kids education, and a roof over their
